- Reservations
- Holding Deposit: A 25% Holding Deposit is required for all reservations, which must be received within 14 days from initial reservation request.
- Balance Due: The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to check-in date. Payments not received on time will be subject to cancellation.
- Transient Occupancy Tax: A 10.5% tax is charged by the city of San Diego for any reservation that is less than one month. A month is classified as starting on a date of one month to the same date of the next month.
- Security Deposit: All rentals will require a refundable security deposit of $500, to be returned within 21 days after checkout.
- All reservations are subject to owner approval.
- Cancellations
- Up to 60 days before check-in: Cancellations made before balance is paid are subject to a $150 cancellation fee.
- After 60 days before check-in: Refunds are dependent upon our ability to re-rent the unit.
- Check in / Check out
- Check in: 3:00pm
- Check out: 10:00am
- Early check-in/late check out: Often available, but not guaranteed, please call or email us.
- Pets
- Pets are permitted with an additional $200 security deposit and approval by the owner for our 2 story unit only, Surfer's Sand Castle.
- Before you leave
- We ask that you leave the accommodations neat, including doing the dishes and
removing the trash and emptying your items from the refrigerator.
- Please close all windows, lock the doors and turn off all lights, fans and heater
- Any Extra cleaning will result in a minimum $100 cleaning Fee.
- The best way to avoid extra cleaning fees is to notify owner of any damage, spills or breakage before leaving.
- Linens, towels and paper products will be replaced by the cleaning service.
- Phone use
- The units provide local phone service, but long distance calls have been blocked.
We recommend using a prepaid phone card.
- Smoking
- Smoking is PROHIBITED inside the unit. Smoking on the decks outside is permitted.
- Any smoke damage/smell left inside the unit will result in an extra cleaning charge.
- Occupancy and Use
- Exceeding stated and/or reasonable occupancy can result in the lost of use of
the property as well as the rent. Entertaining which can result in damage to the unit
or interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of other residents, is prohibited.
- Any noise complaints and/or parties will result in forfeiture of your security deposit and you will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
- Lost or Stolen Items
- The owners or the owner’s agents will not be held responsible for any items
discovered missing during a guests stay. Please do not leave personal items
unattended and be certain to always lock your doors and windows.
- Unavailable Rentals
- If for some reason the rental unit is unavailable, due to fire, flood, etc.
the owners or the owner’s agents will try to place the renters in a comparable unit.
If that is not possible, all rent (including tax and security deposit) will be refunded.
