Endless San Diego Fun – Things to Do and See
MISSION BEACH
Mission Beach - The famous resort peninsula called Mission Beach is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on one side and Mission Bay on the other. A 15-mile boardwalk parallels the entire beach on both the ocean and bay side of the peninsula, providing ideal opportunities for biking, skateboarding, rollerblading or a romantic evening stroll. If you really enjoy biking, you might also consider heading north on the coastal bike path to La Jolla Cove. It’s a good 5-mile ride after which you can stop at the famous La Jolla Cove for a swim or lunch.

Throughout Mission Beach there are, both on the boardwalk and Mission Boulevard side, a lot of interesting shops and restaurants. Famed San Diego attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Old Town, Seaport Village, SeaWorld and a multitude of other sightseeing opportunities abound nearby.
SeaWorld - www.seaworld.com Everyone ought to visit SeaWorld and the amazing residents of the 166 acre park at least once. SeaWorld is about as entertaining, educational and hands-on as an animal theme park can get.
Belmont Park - www.belmontpark.com In the heart of Mission Beach you can find San Diego’s historic amusement park. Belmont Park is perhaps best known for its Big Dipper, a half-mile wooden track roller coaster. In addition to the coaster, you’ll enjoy a variety of other rides, unique restaurants, and shop. On Saturday’s you’ll also find fresh fruits and vegetables aplenty at the Certified Farmers Market at Mission Beach Open Aire Market.
MISSION BAY
Mission Bay Park - Mission Bay Park is the largest facility of its kind in the world, as it contains 27 miles of bay front. It was developed in the 1950's as a 5,000-acre aquatic park. The park is used for a variety of recreational activities today such as picnics, fishing, swimming, sailing, water skiing, as well as softball and volleyball games and other sports.
Quivira Basin - One of Mission Bay's most picturesque areas, so don’t forget your camera. A truly beautiful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The exploits of parasailers also add to the viewing pleasures at Quivira Basin. San Diego’s been described as a boater’s paradise as well, so those nautically inclined may want to check out the Quivira Basin’s boat rentals and boat sales, along with it’s full service marina.
Mission Bay Golf Course - The Mission Bay Golf Course is reportedly the best 18-hole executive-length course in town (Phone: 858-490-3370). This challenging par 3 and par 4 course is the only night-lighted golf course in the area.
